Great to be back at COMPAMED and MEDICA in Düsseldorf, the world’s premier medtech and medical devices show, joined by 16 Singapore companies.

On 22 Oct 2024, thirty one eager students from Changkat Changi Secondary School ventured to GD Precision Pte Ltd and Applied Total Control Treatment Pte Ltd. This field trip was designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications, offering students insights into the engineering industry and the innovative processes that drive it.

SPETA, joined 15 other Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs), and signed a MOU as part of the Sustainability Alliance, demonstrating a collective commitment to advancing sustainable practices within the industry. The MOU marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration among TACs to address key sustainability challenges. This focus on sustainability aligns with the broader conversation about resilience and adaptability in SMEs, particularly as they navigate evolving market conditions and resource constraints.

Meet Mohammad Rezal S/O Abdul Lathiff, a young enterprising project engineer working in Genplus Pte Ltd which designs and manufactures proprietary battery solutions and energy storage systems (ESS), offering customizable turnkey ESS which are ready for connection to medium or high voltage grids, covering a range of residential ESS, micro-grid systems to utility scale systems.

SPETA recently collaborated with the Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to host sessions on the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangements Requests (TGFWAR), which will come into effect on 1st December 2024.
