To strive to be the PROFESSIONAL, PREFERRED and PRESTIGIOUS trade association serving the Precision Engineering industry
The Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA) is the leading trade association for the Precision Engineering Industry. Our members comprise both SMEs and MNCs engaging in the manufacturing and distribution of precision engineering components, products, tools, equipment, machinery and other solutions. They participate in diverse sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical and semiconductor.
SPETA works closely with our members, industry leaders, knowledge partners and government agencies to co-create a conducive and dynamic business environment for the Precision Engineering and Technology community, enabled by digitalisation, innovation, sustainability and a vibrant workforce.
Our History
1982
Founded in 1982 as the Singapore Tool and Die Association
1988
Changed name to Singapore Engineering and Tooling Association
2014
Changed our name to Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA)
2015
The Association changed its logo to refine its Vision, Mission and its core values.
The SPETA Management Council
The policy making body of SPETA is its management council which comprises a maximum of 20 elected members. The management council is elected once every two years. The elected council members will elect office bearers, namely, Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer.
The day-to-day running of the Association is handled by a full time secretariat headed by the Executive Director.
