The semiconductor landscape is evolving as rapidly as the chips themselves.
Keeping pace is no easy task, the community continues to press on strengthened by collaboration and innovation.
As the industry builds new capabilities, upskills its workforce, and navigates shifting geopolitics and market dynamics, precision engineering remains a key enabler of semiconductor growth.
We are encouraged to see the sector’s continued progress, and even more so, the close partnership between semiconductors and precision engineering.

Purposeful Innovation, Sustainable Transformation
As part of a continued effort to promote sustainable innovation in manufacturing, SPETA and a group of Gen II leaders visited HP Singapore for an exclusive learning journey.
The group saw how HP integrates AI solutions to enhance productivity, such as noise-cancellation tools for virtual meetings and digital platforms that allow businesses to visualise how designs will appear on different materials, including textile. They also observed HP’s 3D printing capabilities and learned about innovative sustainable packaging solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact.
A key highlight was the introduction to the SkillsFuture Queen Bee Programme, where HP provides mentorship and expertise to help SMEs accelerate their sustainable business transformation. This includes a “Proof-of-Concept” Mentorship Programme to guide companies in the development and validation of innovative projects.
The visit offered a unique opportunity to see firsthand how HP partners with local SMEs to drive sustainable transformation, foster innovation, and implement future-ready manufacturing practices through structured mentorship and advanced technologies.
Special thanks to the HP Singapore team (Jimmy Ong, 王锦源 and Richard SK Ng) for their warm hospitality and insightful sharing.
If you are interested to tap HP Singapore's support towards local precision engineering and manufacturing firms through the SkillsFuture Queen Bee Programme, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Together, we can forge new paths toward sustainable growth and industry innovation.
