Human Capital in Focus 🔎 - SPETA Gen II Leadership Programme (SGLP) Session 4
Session 4 of the SPETA Gen II Leadership Programme (SGLP) took a deep dive into human capital strategies, exploring how precision engineering companies can retain talent, support senior employees, and build a sustainable workforce for the future.

The session began with a sharing by Workforce Singapore on career health, highlighting the importance of employee well-being, engagement, and professional development. Participants gained practical insights on measures companies can adopt to support career growth and maintain a motivated, productive workforce.

This was followed by an engaging fireside chat on managing multi-generational teams in manufacturing. Leaders discussed strategies for unlocking the potential of senior employees while cultivating the next generation of talent. The conversation covered talent retention practices, growth opportunities for senior workers, and building inclusive team cultures that leverage the strengths of different generations.

The session concluded with a sharing on Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) adoption, where participants learned how to implement flexible work policies to enhance productivity, support work-life balance, and strengthen employee engagement — all essential to retaining and developing a competitive workforce.
Thank you to our speakers Lim Jason, Mark Tan, Kelvin Wong, and Joel JW LIM, as well as Singapore Polytechnic School of Business and Workforce Singapore, for sharing their expertise, insights, and practical strategies to help our Gen II leaders manage talent, build multi-generational teams, and strengthen the future workforce of the PE sector.
