ANNOUNCEMENT – SPETA LEADERSHIP CHANGES WEF 1 APRIL 2024

 

We wish to inform SPETA members, partners and the greater Precision Engineering and Technology community that Mr Simon Lim, the current Executive Director of SPETA will be leaving SPETA to assume his next appointment with Enterprise Singapore wef 1 April 2024.   This is on the completion of his two-year secondment from Enterprise Singapore to SPETA.

 

Mr Wong An Wei, the current Deputy Executive Director (Industry Development) of SPETA will be appointed the new Executive Director of SPETA, wef 1 April 2024.

 

“We thank Simon for his contributions to SPETA over the past two years.   Under his capable leadership, he carried out initiatives to improve our internal processes, added to our set of partners and led the secretariat team to undertake key projects in productivity and innovation, overseas market development, as well as human capital and sustainability.    Working with the SPETA Council, he helped to set a suitable direction for the Trade Association and built up a strong secretariat team to implement these future plans”, said Ms Elise Hong, Chairman SPETA.

 

“Through this time, An Wei worked steadfastly alongside Simon and amply demonstrated his dedication and ability to bring the association forward as its next Executive Director”, added Ms Hong.

 

“I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to SPETA during this recent phase of its long and established history.  I built on the results of the past leadership and members of SPETA and wish our Trade Association great and continued success”, said Mr Simon Lim.

 

“I am honoured to accept the role of the next SPETA Executive Director.   I look forward to the continued support of the Council, members and secretariat as we jointly create value for our Precision Engineering and Technology community in Singapore and beyond”, said Mr Wong An Wei.

 

SPETA extends its best wishes to Simon for his future endeavours, and congratulates An Wei on his new appointment.
